Doctor nutter is in his final year of internal medicine residency, and will soon be a board certified internist. But he sees and treats patiencs with diabetes, and has been studying it for decades. He was diagnosed at the age of nine after falling into a coma due to low blood sugar. His pancreus 'wasn't working properly', so doctors had to do tests that could tell if there was any sugar in his urine - which they called syphon testing.

Your blood sugar can make you happy, moody, sweaty, unconscious and possibly even homicidal. In this episode, Dr. Mike Natter dishes about how blood sugar works, what insulin does, and how prevalent diabetes is in all of its various forms.
