Ecuador played pretty much how we thought they would in our preview. They leave the middle of the pitch empty and then have loads of players in wide areas. You could tell that the standard is a lot different at this tournament. And Ecuador had a two-nil lead after 35 minutes to stop playing because there's no need to save your energy. Which is really tight and without var, probably wouldn't have been overturned.
