The Importance of a Mental Map for Devs
I think there is a tendency for detail-oriented technical people to feel like these are all just kind of abstractions that don't really help us get things done. How do you reconcile that this is a mental abstraction that we're making to help us discuss this, but at some point we've got to make decisions about who owns x, y, z piece of the system? Where do you draw that line and how do you ensure that people aren't feeling this is just hand-wavy or making decisions based on arbitrary lines? I've definitely experienced that.
