The Importance of Overcoming Cultural Limits

Modern agriculture works on the liberal model that apparent natural limits are to be overcome through short-term solutions. Liberalism, by contrast, has aimed consistently at disassociating cultural forms from nature. A culture develops above all an awareness of nature's limits, offerings, and demands.
