Lyd lights are very bad at dimming because they have a driver inside it that takes your a c mains voltage and produces constant current from the lead. Traditional light dimmers that drive tungston lamps, you know, we'll mash the way form up to give the tungston filament the amount of power it wants. But when you feed thento slitchmod power supply, it usually doesn't end well. Even the dimable ones have some limit. You generally, they won't generally dim all the way down to zero.
