In Hinduism, the ultimate reality God is understood in at least four different ways. Swami Vivekan said we Hindus worship a transcendent, immanent God. The fourth one would be the avatar. So Ishwarabhagavan, Saguna, Brahmana, God also comes as an incarnation.
