Changing the Distribution of a Single Variable
If you start off thinking about it as just the distribution of a single variable, that's no transformation on why at all. You're turning several knobs at once. Remember that a correlation between X and Y and then X and Y star, if your transformation is linear, is the same. That's why at the end of the day, nobody cares. All right, it's just metric and interpretation.
