Golfers would block out any negative thoughts. Would engage in positive self talk, so themselves that if they give it a hundred%. If it doesn't come off, you know, it doesn't matter,. as long as they're trying hard. They would also engage in rati rationalizing. So bear in mind, these were plain international competitions. It's not the end of my golf career, you know. And i recommend tha golters, or any athletes, deploy and practise a number of different stratges to find out wat works best for them through trial and error.
