Cauldrons in europe are sometimes uncovered in bogs, places that had sacred connotations to the ancient who visited them. One notable bog aved cauldron is the gundestrap cauldron, an incomplete but very stunning silver artifact discovered in a bog in himmerland, denmark in 18 91. It bears images that are generally associated with more southern cultures, lion, sa deer, griffins. There seems to be a hornet or antlered god on there, alongside other potential gods and goddesses.
