What Is a News Peg?
A news peg is a term that people use to say, okay, so, um, oh boy. What is the news event that can be associated with this maybe a sensible feature piece? For example, let's say somebody wants to do an update on Ticketmaster fees and like what it means to buy this company. Well, apparently a lot of people tried to buy tickets for Taylor Swift today and are seeing, you know, lots of fees and stuff. So the news peg for a piece on Ticketmaster might be a number of people were buying Taylor Swift tickets.
