Gus says he never had just packed a backpack. He recommends Tom Bin the cynic or either of the two cynic bags depending on how big you need a backpack to be. When you can get to a point of single bag travel a bag that will just fit on your back that you could take any trip with a week long trip but just with one bag your hands free that's the goal.
