Pi's Planned Obsolescence

In his day, that would be an object made with a low quality that wears out. Now we have devices that are being made that do not necessarily wear out but they are intentionally worn out by their manufacturers so that you desire to buy a new one. Pi is just giving us glimpses of our time and he's looking ahead and seeing these trends and manufacturing and things like that. I wonder what he'd say about the direction that a lot of these things have gone today. Be interesting.
