Is Austerity Back in It's Former Form?
For the kind of average person, austerity really hasn't ever ended. The idea of sacrifice or placating the economy through cuts when necessary is deeply embedded in how people think and reason about the economy. There's a widespread sense that basic tenant or under pinning justifications for austerity are just good economics. And i think we are sly see that m in the work we've been doing, you know, throughout the pandemic, in kind of focus groups, in audience insight work.
