The R-Not of Mnemonic Plague

The mnemonic plague kills you so rapidly that the period of infectivity is relatively low compared to other diseases. On average, only 1.3 people are actually infected from every person who has it. That's in contrast to something like smallpox, which has an R-not of around six and a half.
