How to Evaluate an Active Manager?
The cheapest quintala funds in a given category are about three times as likely to survive and succeed than the most expensive quintala funds. A manageor experience is not a panacea, we see plenty of experienced managers that have hoham results, aren't all that talented. It can be reinforcing, though, when you see a mange r who not only has been around for a while and plying his or her trade, but also eats his or her own cooking. Those are four things that i would probably focus on in looking at a particularor actively managed strategy.
