The Problem With Translation of Geshlachtreeb by Genital Drive

In the word Geshlacht then the sex gender distinction doesn't play a role yet, at least not explicitly and not in the way we know. In light of what I said earlier in this talk  Geshlachtreeb refers to the object-centered genital sexuality so genital drive seems the better option. It's genital but not necessarily heterosexual. Sexual tree sexuality can be translated as sexual drive. Since the context in most cases leaves no doubt on the generic use of Geshlachareeb for instance where Freud writes that the sexuality is its first moment or phase we think that it isn't too problematic.
