Why You Shouldn't Put All Your Assets in One Asset Class
Academics have made it very clear that for the long term, if we're trying to outperform inflation and build your portfolio, you should be inequities. They also say you should not put all of your assets in one asset class. The S&P 500 is mostly driven by growth; a value company generally is called a value company. It's a kind of a company that investors pay much less for because they don't have as an exciting story to tell.
