The Role of the Hamstring in Muscle Workouts

The hamstrings really aren't worked effectively by a squat. They're mostly stabilizers. And some other useful principles are lower body first before upper body, because there's some research on the measurements of neuromuscular fatigue. So it really pays off to start heavy and do like your higher up work later in the workout. Just try I-RAP squats and lower up squats. There's lots of data that shows it as well.
