i postulate that as scholars of chinese philosophy, weare dealing with inherited text instead of original text. Original text is dealt with by psynologist historians. We are not necessary dealing with the historical author which is the prerogative of the historians and a synologist. And we also interpret those texts based upon the aconstructed textual intent, based upon that textualAuthorial intent. It's debatable whether we can even treat authoria intent as the legitimate scholary inquiry because seno estatsens in a sort of private domain ofub, a subjective person.
