Owen thomas committed suicide after being diagnosed with a neurological disorder caused by taking too many hits on the football field. Owen's jersey had been number forty and his team mates wore decals on their helmets with the number forty on them, working hand in hand parallel to the tide line. The university issued a statement saying they are aware of and deeply concerned abu the medical issues now being raised above football head injuries. In my book, that does not count as concern. That is moral indifference.
