The Sound of a Baby Whale

Offshore boat fishermen were all talking to each other on the radio. One of them reported seeing a large gray whale swimming near an oil rig about a mile and a half offshore. It was as though the baby whale was listening to the radio because it abruptly turned and started swimming in the direction of the oil rig. Whales usually breach like this several times in a row. Some researchers have called it an acoustic telegram.
