The West Bank - The Deadliest Year in Nearly Two Decades

The West Bank emerged as a Jordanian occupied territory after the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, before being annexed outright by Jordan in 1950. Israel last year prompted a sweeping Israeli military campaign that they called Operation Breakwater beginning March of 2022. It was created after attacks occurred by Palestinians against Israeli settlers. So far, Israeli security forces have made over 2,000 arrests.
