The study suggests that people are more likely to cheat when they have the opportunity to destroy the evidence of their cheating. Dan Weiss, a college student who worked at the JFK Center for the Performing Arts, caught an employee stealing $60 in stolen bills. He implemented an inventory system where volunteers had to record the cash levels at the end of the day and the fevery stopped.
