Arlie: Plato's cave might have originally been a longer version, maybe just to fit with the agenda of the times. One theory is it was a much more complete story and was chopped down at some point in history as we see from a lot of ancient mythology over time. Another possibility is this is exactly the story as it was supposed to be presented, which means it's got the holes left in it on purpose. The third possibility, I guess, is that it was made to actually deceive you.
