The Importance of Flexibility in Wage Structures
I think if there is a purpose, people will definitely look at flexibility in the wage structure. Where there's key demand for skillsets, no matter how old you are, that obviously drives rates up as well. I think grandparents do a fantastic job of offering some free childcare to help them along one or two days a week. So although we're called economically inactive, we're actually supporting the economy by doing that because it would be very difficult to earn a salary to pay for a nursery every single day of the week.
