Kristoff: I was madly in love with biology and that had in part to do with the fact that my track coach and my cross country coach was my hero. Kristoff: The realities of the industry made me think, do I want to give up my 20s, be tortured in the process during residency,. come out with a whole bunch of debt only to be told what I can and can't do? He says doctors felt like they were laborers rather than artists when he worked for them over the summer. "I have I don't know how much worse or better things have gotten," writes Kristoff.
