Bubble CPAP is a device used to treat preterm babies that struggle to breathe because they're lungs are immature. In Malawi, the students who invented it were able to show that for premature babies that suffer from this condition that survival improved from 24.5% up to 64.6%. It's now being used in 23 countries actually to save newborn lives wow and one of the student inventors who invented the technology here at Rice She now works as the product manager for this new line of neonatal technologies.
