The book sets up a very interesting, kind of dramatic conflict between these two very interesting conceptual personae. The traditional contemporary concept of generations is being melted away by the effects of digital so that you can be based at age 75, based at age inteen. Digital technology is causing people to understand that the only way to reassert human control over these machines is through logical means. That means you got to choose who you're going to worship, or what you mean to worship. And in the first wave of human beings brought into this world to achieve maturity exclusively under digital conditions, that is a decisive moment in our development.
