Sensory Processing Disorder and Neurodivergence
Sensory processing disorder is an important component of discussing people's perceptual differences, particularly with neurodivergence. When we think about our senses, we automatically go to the five key senses: smell, hearing, taste, touch and the visual sense. But we also have two other sensory pathways, the vestibular sense and the proprioceptive sense. And that difference can create difficulties for people in different areas.
