The "What is Money?" Show

CHAPTER

Why Interest Rates Rise During an Inflation?

Interest rates go higher during an inflation. We know that why they go i think there's a lot of reasons, and i want to take another run at this. Interest in its rawest form is just profit er ther. There's nothert you can't separate the two. Bank interest is actually the profit of the bank business. But again, all they're going low with is how many depositors it will take for them to maximize their profit. And if you're not yor printer, some people say, well, no interest is so yets the cost of money. I think it's more about the system than anything else.
