When you talk about today, and being trying to stay in local people's homes and get away from the hotels and tourist centers, that was a pretty good model. My first ever trip, I grew up in Massachusetts, and we traded houses with a family in the outskirts of London. We just sort of set up a daily routine for living, and we'd go into town and do touristy stuff,. But at night we would come back and be in a suburb. And I think that was pretty influential.
