i think it's almost absurd to be reduced to the state of having to say, a turtle comes ashore and lays its eggs. Which is the sort of problem you get into if you deny any kind of purpose. An enormous number of biologists accept that there is purpose. They don't want to say so in public, in case they are accused of bringing in an engineering god. But that doesn't have to happen at all.
