Is Fairness a Business Problem?
i think managing all these principles in governments is really a business problem and does not need to be, and cannot be thought of singularly. If we want to use fairness an example, if you take a life cycle approach to it, right? When you start a modelling project, the business says, we are starting this project as we hope to achieve the following. And then can create a non technical control which says, what is our approach to fairness in this project? They define, here's what we are doing with this model. Here's our opinion of what fairness means here. But when you consider something will not go perfectly, eliminating bias is a false narrative. We can't achieve it
