It's a good idea to have specific goals, achievable ones. Some people are more able to do it than others. Maybe you don't really need to sound like a native because non-native English is also a valid form of English. Aiming for virtually no grammar errors in your oral languages can be respectable and decent aim too. But again, we have to take a balanced approach and don't feel to put off by the prospect of making errors. You just got to be willing to do both.
