Creating a Culture of Self Accountability in Your Students
Students in my class almost always have processing time before I cold call. At the end of every unit, students fill out a survey where they have to reflect on what topics did they learn well and which ones didn't. And then they set a goal on how they feel like they can improve. But if I start noticing that certain students really are getting off tasks during time that they're supposed to be collaborating or that they're not contributing, then at the conversation I have one on one with them.
