Is There a National Strike by Driving Examiners?
There will almost certainly be more strikes by driving examiners. The PCS union which represents them has embarked on a programme of industrial action involving tens of thousands of civil servants. I think people are saying, oh, well, this week, because of the rail strikes and people being told not to go to hospital in this, you're not a desk door - it's incredible what's happening. Can you imagine if teachers and ambulance workers and nurses and rail workers and postal workers all go on strike in the same week? It would feel like a lockdown... everyone would be like, I don't want to stay at home.
