What the Catholic Church Believed In
The catholic church believed in a perfect geometrical creation of god. They thought there were these invisible, fixed spheres around the earth that would just increase in rays. And then the planets and the sun and the moon would be bound to these fixed, invisible spheres, and they would just rotate around in circles. This gave order to the universe. It was lik yes, the earth is a sphere, and then you have these things rotating around the sphere in perfect spherical orbits. Nothing came ik, nothing disturbed each other's orbits,. Because they were all on separate planes, on separate distances. Everything wouldjust revolved around thes concentric spheres. That's what the catholic church
