Some of the trash ilas picking up with her mam probably came from the great pacific garbage patch. There's actually five of these big gyers in the ocean, and plastic accumulates in all of them. Some of the plastic has been in the ocean so long it's broken into those tiny little pieces we were talking about micro plastics. So how long has this been happening? That's part of what Jenny is trying to figure out.
