How to Measure a Set of Tones

A set of tones doesn't have to be 12. And between each pair of vos, there will be an interval. So how many times your interval occurs tells you the sides of the section. At the tritone interval, that's half an octave exactly, must appear an even number of times. If you're doing it intoamose, they'll intersect all their translations the samenumber of times. What i've done in honour of to day's lecture is i have created a composition based on a four by four magic square - and if any composers would like to use this theme,  you are welcome to do so.
