I cannot conceive a work of art that is not responding to the reality around us. In fact every single work that I've created responds to a specific moment in history or a specific reality. I cannot conceive anything without thinking that way. It's so interesting how that relates to 4 minutes 33 and Cage. That's absolutely about acknowledging a world of sound and acknowledging context. Absolutely and that's what I'm interested in. You know for me the art world has always been fascinating but it's still a world of fiction that ignores completely the world around it. And that's not possible.
