What's Happening on Twitter?

Elon Musk recently announced a plan to make it easier for people to buy verified accounts on Twitter. The move was meant to stop impersonators, but instead led to the creation of fake accounts that were more popular than real ones. This is making things worse for some who had been hopeful about Elon's future as head of his own social media company - and I can't imagine too many would be happy about it.
