When you're back at headquarters, watching it on ful motion video, live television, and it is very, very difficult. There's there's two things, one, you feel responsible, and two, you feel guilty. And so was there ever a time where, like you mentioned the story where you landed an a rak and landed in a swamp? This time the risks were were too much? Yel a number of times. I wasn't confident we could solve the problem. The challenge might be getting your people out. Whenl that pilot turned out to be, he survived the crash.
This man has probably taken on more risks than anyone in the world, and his decision could've meant life or death in a certain situation!
General Stanley McChrystal, a retired United States Army General, and author came on to talk about his new book, Risk: A User's Guide, the stories that he had to essentially make life or death decisions while assessing the risk, and how can one prepare themselves to face the unforeseen future, and risks!
