In some auctions involving millions and millions of dollars of digital art, the copyright isn't transferred to the purchaser. So what does the purchaser get besides bragging rights? In short, it is the bragg but i think the best analogy would be to the sale of a really valuable piece of physical art work. If i pay 20 million dollars or 69 million dollars for a a a painting, and id buy that, i don't get the copyright. When i purchase that painting, in most cases, i simply get that one copy.
