In croces, we've got multiple layers of cephlopod skin. At the bottom, ase layer. For some saphlopods, like cuttlefish, there's this really, really white a cell type called lucafores. These cells never change color. It's just whatever color you shoot on em is the color that they give back to you. And it's like the purest white in the animal kingdom.
