The Importance of Trend Following
If you do this back test on how much should you then give buy and hold, the computer is going to say, not zero. You still can allocate optimally about maybe 20% of the portfolio too long only. So I think that's really what people have to ask themselves is how much do you believe in trend following? How much do you legitimately think you should have long only stocks and or bonds?
