The first step in healing is to notice how it comes up tangibly in our everyday lives. We can't heal anything until we've become aware of it, noticing the ways that what once protected us is manifesting in our lives. For example, if someone is people pleasing, so common, at one point that may have protected you. So having awareness of those old patterns and celebrating our inner child for keeping us safe.
