The Psychology of Optimism

The stock market has been unchanged for over a year now at around the 4,200 level. How your stock investments do will be dependent on what mood Mr. Market is in when he wakes up in the morning. People don't give up their optimism unless they're forced to learn. The world has to kind of beat them up around the head and shoulders before they'll throw in the towel on optimism.
