The Sun's Statement on the Stepdad's Payments to the Child
Tim and I were running live on Sky when the sun sent us a legal letter. They are doubling down on their story, they have said in a statement. The stepdad did originally go to the police before he spoke to the BBC. And interestingly, he says he did learn of another payment in June of £1,000. So, essentially what they're saying is the presenter,. if it's true, was paying this money, at least two weeks, if not a bit more, after the original complaint had been made to the radio station. It remains to be understood why the allegations weren't escalated and the presenter wasn't spoken to at the time.
