Is Fuchsia the Future of Linux?

Fuchsia has been touted as a replacement for Linux on Chrome OS. They started using it in Internet of Things devices, like some Nest Hubs and Nest devices. It looks like they're not going to be replacing the Linux kernel anytime soon with it.
