You cannot believe in risk without also believing in luck. Both of them are just an acknowledgement that things outside of your control can have a bigger impact on outcomes than anything you do on your own. The greatest antidote to risk is having options, humility and other people's trust. Save like a pessimist and invest like an optimist. Getting rich and staying rich are two completely different skills. They are often contradictory skills, but you need them in equal parts to do well over time.
